At least 30 of the last 36 hours of credit must be registered for and completed in residence at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. All coursework (except BSAD 50, BSAD 111, and BSAD 222) must be taken for a grade. Students admitted to the College of Business are required to take a Math Placement Exam prior to enrolling in the college math requirement of MATH 104 or MATH 106 (or higher math). All students in the College of Business will take the following non-business courses (unless otherwise noted).

Overview of College Degree Requirements

All full-time students on this course have the opportunity to take a year-long work placement after the second year. A work placement can allow students to gain valuable experience and apply their learning in practice. Students are encouraged to obtain placements in industry and do this independently, although tutors may provide support and advice during this process. For eligible undergraduate students going to university for the first time, scholarships and bursaries are available to help cover costs. Credit toward the degree cannot be earned in both BLAW 300 and either of BLAW 371/ BLAW 371H or BLAW 372. As noted with the MPA and/or CPA, students may choose to take elective coursework required for the degree in the course options suggested. Additional requirements, such as submission of a memorandum of courses form, should Bookkeeping Services in Lincoln be completed during the fifth year of the program. The memorandum must be completed prior to the completion of half of the MPA program. In addition to the College Degree Requirements, students will complete 21 hours of coursework for the major. ENGL 150 and ENGL 151 are primarily restricted to first- and second-year students. Upperclass students who have not completed one of these options should take ENGL 254 Writing and Communities as a substitute. Each of Lincoln’s academic programs is made up of a set of core curriculum, program requirements and electives. The courses listed below are just a small sample of courses that might be taken as a part of this specific program.

  • This is a business writing course that requires sophomore standing and ENGL 150 or ENGL 151 as prerequisites.
  • BA (Hons) International Accounting with Finance at Lincoln is designed to develop a broad understanding of accountancy and finance in an international context.

This option allows students to become licensed educators in business for grades 6th through 12th. Students will work in collaboration with the LMU School of Business and the Carter & Moyers School of Education. Students enrolling for their first semester with junior standing (or more) will see that the list of approved courses includes a few business courses.
